sometimes when i open my TPT this error message comes up about it crashing (on my Macbook pro): __________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Powder Toy quit unexpectedly.
Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more detailed information and send a report to Apple.
It does this a lot of the time. when it opens and I'm logged in it will work, or it will open and have me logged out. When i log in in the first 30 sec of opening it will stay open but if i don't it will crash. Most of the time, i click the TPT app and this error message comes up immediately. I have to click reopen at least 5 times til it open.
I would copy and paste the error report but that would reveal too much about me and my computer.
i know some of "da code" for mac and i think its basically saying 0 libSystem.B.dylib 0x00007fff84ee5616 __kill + 10 1 libSystem.B.dylib 0x00007fff84f85cca abort + 83 2 libSystem.B.dylib 0x00007fff84f74901 szone_error + 519 3 libSystem.B.dylib 0x00007fff84e9ec85 small_malloc_from_free_list + 170 4 libSystem.B.dylib 0x00007fff84e9b741 szone_malloc_should_clear + 2070 5 libSystem.B.dylib 0x00007fff84e9aeea malloc_zone_malloc + 82 6 libSystem.B.dylib 0x00007fff84e991e8 malloc + 44 (according to report)
then it connects to the TPT website which processes the problem under the directory of: uk.org.hadwired.The-Powder-Toy
then it tells the TPT that somethings wrong and then the TPT tell my macbook to tell apple that the application has failed. it then puts together an error report and then opens that error window.
so any suggestions? ( i thought about reinstalling)
no (the reports like 3 pages long and would take a while to sensor) plus i'm afraid of revealing stuff about the framework of my mac by accident. (in all the levels of peoples knowledge of computer stuff i'm probably a self taught F+ or D- (:
i don't know if this might be the problem, but did you download the correct program (there's a mac version) i've been through TONS of problems like this. sometimes its funny, but errors get so annoying.
