I have a few ideas for MERC that I already have modded. Solidification and vaporization. I think they should be incorporated into the official powder toy. It works pretty well in my mod and it would make it lees like DEUT and more like mercury. Please state if you agree or disagree and why. If enough people agree, maybe it will be released.

I disagree.
It's major use is expanding and contracting, but if it solidifies or vaporises, it will be hard for it to expand even more...
So, what I am summing up is, is that you're saying DEUT will do a better job at expanding than MERC. -
there is a solution to that problem. it doesnt have to vaporize at a low temp like it does in real life, it could do so at 5000c lets say. it vaporizes at 2500c in my mod already, all i would have to do is make a small change.

MERV (Mercury Vapour) and MERS (Mercury Solid) are either not needed, or they're covered already by another element. e.g.
MERS: Conducts electricity. And so does BTML, METL, IRON, INWR, INST, PSCN, NSCN, NTCT, PTCT...
MERV: Floats freely. Conducts electricity. What's the point of something conducting electricity if you're not sure where it's going to go and what it's going to conduct? If compacted, then why not use MERC?

I was going to say that, but it gets annoying how it melts metal, which is exactly why I prefer it for heating rather than conducting, unless you want to use a Single use wire or something.Edited by CAC-Boomerang, 2011-06-14 02:54:11 -
ok, the reason why im wanting to make mers and merv is because they are states of mercury that really do exist. scientists use those states of mercury all of the time. i was tinking about using merv for instance to be reactive with moble gas to make a cold plasma like whats in a florescent light. and mers would be just like metal so instead of making merv, mercury could just solidify into metl.

This isn't the Realistic toy.
We don't need every state form of every particle, because they're not needed.

like i said, mers isnt needed. but merv will make noble gas turn into cold plasma when sparked by it.
