Particle detector element

    Basically an element that detects when a non METL/BMTL/INWR particle is either (and by either I mean would be coded to ONLY detect one or the other)

    In it- Works kind of like like a non bottomless INVS, when a particle is in it, it changes ctype and no longer accepts new particles. Gives off electricity to a bordering conductor. When it is able to drop the particle it does. At least down, but unidirectional would be better. (Would be even more useful with some kind of breakable void)

    Touching it- When a particle that is not a solid conductor (or maybe not a solid at all) is bordering it it gives off electricity to a bordering conductor.

    This would be useful to function kind of like generator wall in a situation where walls can't be used.

    For example, I would like to make a bunker with a logic based system to control the flow of electricity and water, and the ability to detect a particle is a must for it to work properly. In combination with a powered gate (https://powdertoy.co.uk/Discussions/Thread/View.html?Thread=8950) it could be used to make a realistic plumbing system.

    If this has been suggested before I didn't see it in the most recent pages, and my elaboration on the idea would be considered necroing on anything older.

    Hmmmm. It seems like a good idea? :D

    Is this what you need?

    No, it uses a wall. I want zero wall usage. Just a dot I can put in a water tank to tell me if there is water in it (Using DSTW so it doesn't flip out of course) so it can trigger a system to dump water once a tank is full.

    @DucTape
    MaksmProg had it in his mod along with ehole particle.

    Too bad elements in mods are more or less useless, since they can't save like official ones.
    Also, which kind was it, the particle in or the particle on? Just kinda curious as too how it worked.

    How about a GEIG (geiger counter) element (or wall type) that will only create electricity in response to being struck by (or having pass through) NEUTron particles.

    Would be good as a separate element I guess, but useless for my purposes.
