I've been looking for a good way to decode ppm images for a while (They seem to be the easiest), and I found what looks like a good candidate, but I can't really make it work. the documentation is here: http://netpbm.sourceforge.net/doc/ppmtoarbtxt.html. If anyone can make sense of it please help. I would like to use it to decode a ppm file into a large file that contains the position of the pixel, rgb, etc. for each pixel. I am using the gnuwin version: http://minus.com/mbsSjc8. Thanks
how would I get to the data? I looked at the PPM specification sheet and even took one of the examples from the spec sheet, but that file only worked for some online converter to go to png. Everything else says 'cannot open file: invalid format'. when I use netpbm to convert a png to a ppm, it looks like random data instead of the nice, organized data columns of the example.
