    Why does the speed of activation/deactivation differ so much based on angle/direction?

    See what I mean? It travels instantly on the right leg, slowly on the left leg, and quickly on the bottom. Why? Any chance this could be fixed?

    It's complicated, but essentially to do with the order in which particles are processed and the way the order is changed after saving and re-loading.

    This is because of how particles are ordered (and updated) on load, as that does not save.
    It could be fixed, but LOTS of saves have been using this on purpose, so it would break many many things.
